Established in 1878, the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design (CSAD) is the art school of George Washington University. Corcoran School of the Arts and Design( CSAD) is housed in the Corcoran Gallery of Art which is the oldest private institution in Washington, located on The Ellipse. Corcoran School of the Arts and Design offers 22 degrees and over 500 graduates and undergraduate students.
The Corcoran School of the Arts and Design courses includes the degrees of Bachelor of Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, and Interior Architecture), Master of Fine Arts (in Fine Arts, Interior Architecture, Classical Acting, and Production Design)Bachelor of Arts (in Fine Art, Art History, Theater & Dance, and Music), etc.
The Corcoran School of the Arts and Design offers a Continuing Education Program which provides non-credit classes to teens and adults and also attracts hundreds of participants every year.
