The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast, fondly known as the Southern Miss Gulf Coast, is a public research university located in Long Beach, Mississippi that was founded in 1910. The University provides a flexible delivery system designed to meet the educational needs of Coast citizens. It utilizes a semester-based academic calendar and it offers just over 60 bachelors and graduates degree programs since it’s a complex of the main University of Southern Mississippi campus. The Southern Miss Gulf Coast has six colleges including College of Arts and Letters, College of Business, College of Education and Psychology, College of Health, College of Nursing and College of Sciences and Technology.
