University of the District of Columbia is a public university in Washington, District of Columbia, United States. It was established in 1851 and is the only public university in Washington. It is a historically black land grant university. There are 5,667 students with 1,830 representing international nations all around the world. It is accredited by the Consortium of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area.
