A campus within the West Virginia University system, WVU Tech serves more than 1,200 students representing more than 30 states and 20 countries. Founded in 1895 as the Montgomery Preparatory School, WVU Tech has a rich history of academic excellence. WVU Tech currently maintains campuses in Montgomery and Beckley, West Virginia. In the fall of 2017, the University will operate entirely from the Beckley Campus. The University offers more than 40 academic programs, including 9 ABET-accredited engineering programs.
