Central Connecticut State University (CCSU), abbreviated as CCSU, is a public-funded university in New Britain, Connecticut, USA. The university was founded in 1849 as the State Normal School and was granted full-fledged regional university status in 1983. The university encompasses five schools that offer 100 plus undergraduate programs in 80 fields and 75 graduate and doctorate courses. The total enrollment of CCSU is 11800, out of whom 487 are international students. The acceptance rate of the university is 66 percent.
Almost 89 percent of CCSU students receive some kind of financial aid. The university extends financial assistance of more than USD 13 million yearly for the incoming freshmen class. Some of the scholarships of CCSU include the Graduate Academic Award, AAUW International Fellowship, American India College Fund, etc.
