The Northwest Missouri State University, commonly known as Northwest, is a state university located in Maryville, Missouri that was founded in 1905. The school is governed by a state-appointed Board of Regents and headed by President Dr. John Jasinski. It utilizes a trimester-based academic calendar and it offers more than 120 undergraduate majors, 73 minors, 18 pre-professional programs, 40 graduate programs, five graduate certificate programs, three certificate programs, three specialist programs.
