The State University of New York at Albany aka University at Albany or SUNY Albany was founded in the year 1844, which offers graduate and undergraduate studies to more than 17,500 New York City students. The university mostly specialises in research studies in the fields of public policy, life sciences, criminal justice and atmospheric sciences, along with offering new programs like globalization, biotechnology and informatics. The university has its campus in three different locations, which were designed by master architect Edward Durell Stone – the designer of the US Embassy in New Delhi. The State University of New York(Albany) plays a major role in the economic development of the Capital District and New York State.
