The University of Missouri-St. Louis, fondly known as the UMSL, is a public research university located in St Louis, Missouri that was founded in 1963. It is one of four universities in the University of Missouri System. It utilizes a semester-based academic calendar and it offers over 50 bachelor’s degree programs and about 30 graduate degree programs. The USML counts with seven colleges including College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business Administration, the College of Education, the College of Fine Arts and Communication, the College of Nursing, the College of Optometry and the Pierre Laclede Honors College.
