Founded in the year 1946, the Portland State University in the United States was formed mainly as an educational institution for war veterans of the World War 2. However, over the years that followed the initial foundation of this post-war university, it was turned into a four-year college with a ‘University’ status being granted to it in 1969. The Portland University has been ranked amongst the top 15 percentile universities of United States by the Princeton Review in the year 2012.
